A wonderful stay! Hostess is amazing, cooked an amazing oxtail for supper even when I was her only guest. The room is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. I will return without a doubt.
A peaceful B&B in a grove of poplar trees, with warm, spacious rooms, crisp linen, mountain views and a hostess who'll have a home-cooked supper ready.
36 on Boom is nestled against a grove of poplar trees, a few blocks from the main street of Zastron, with the mountains as a backdrop.
One guest put it best: "Zastron is not on anybody's bucket list, but if you find yourself travelling past this town, don't. Stop and sleep over at 36 on Boom."
Kathy and her friendly team look after every guest personally, whether you're here on business, passing through on the back roads, or coming to explore the Aasvoëlberg and the Eastern Free State.

On a cold Free State evening your room will already be heated when you arrive.

Rooms are heated before you arrive, so you walk into comfort on cold nights.
Neat, well-equipped rooms that guests return to on every trip to Zastron.
A sparkling pool and a big, peaceful garden under the poplars.

Excellent host, who attentively waited for me to arrive. The spacious room was lovely and warm on arrival despite the cold wintery conditions outside. Had a gorgeous home-cooked meal.
Wonderful setting. Peaceful. Linen crisp! Lovely comfortable beds. Amazing hostess. Friendly staff. Neat and clean, with great attention to detail.
Neat, well-equipped rooms. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, good location. Will definitely visit again during my next business trip. Thank you Kathy for your hospitality.
